In the initial years of his development career he worked on Natural Resources Management with special focus on Watershed Development Program in the Central Himalayan Region in the states of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. he moved to Rajasthan and spent about two and half years working on the NRM issues and monitoring program of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
